Elves
The Courts of Shadow and Light of the Elves arrived back in the Material planes around 100 years ago, and no one sure why they back but they are back and clearly have they own reasons to be there, as a whole the courts as a disdain for the other Species and see them as vermin that should be eradicated. But a small number of both courts see the wonders that have happened on material planes in the abstain and wish to learn from those races, so occasionally both light and shadow elves are seen in the company of other races travelling around the world to learn more.
Ancestral Traits
Age: Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans. the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old. Size: Elves range from around 5 to well over 6 feet tall and have slender builds, your size is Medium. Speed: Your base walking speed is 35 feet. Darkvision: Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. you can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it was dim light. You can't discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey. Keen Senses. You have proficency in the Perception skill, a trait that all people with elven ancestry share. Fae Creatures. As creatures of the Shadowfell and Feywilds elves have developed natural defences against charmed effects (advantage on saving throws against charmed) Light Sleeper. As a fae creature, you barely need sleep and either when you are you are likely to perceive any danger around you, Always as a chance to notice a danger either while asleep.Light Court Cultural Traits
The Court of Light Elves are mainly from the Faewild, and while many would believe the Light Elves are the good guys, they not, they are just as dangerous and trickery as the Members of the Shadow Court, they may be less likely to kill you outright but hurt and maim are definitely a possiblity. But their word is as good as their bond, but they will only give what they believe they agreed to, this can be misleading or dam right dangerous. Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your charisma by 1. Alignment: You as flighty as the true fae that you lived with for hundreds of years, you tend to be chaotic good or neutral Languages: Common and Elvish Fae Step: As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.Shadow Court Cultural Traits
The Court of Shadow Elves are mainly from the Shadowfell, and while many believe they are evil coming from such a dark place, they no worst than their brothers and sisters from the Light Court, they just more open about the disdain towards other races and the fact they think of them as play toys. But just like the Light Court, their word is their bond, they will try and never give a promise but if they do they are bound to it. Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity Score increase by 2 and your Constitution score increases by 1. Alignment: You tend towards the chaotic neutral tending towards evil (you wouldn't see yourself as evil but others would. Languages: Common and Elvish Shadow Jump. You can teleport up to 60 feet from one shadow to another within range, you can't do this again until you finish a long rest. Necrotic Resistance. You have Resistance to necrotic damage.
