Der Satyr, in Lanessa oft auch Faun genannt, war ein magisches Mischwesen mit dem Oberkörper eines Menschen und dem Unterleib und den Beinen einer Ziege. Darüber hinaus verfügten sie über ein Paar gebogener, ziegenartiger Hörner, die ihren Kopf schmückten.

Die meisten Faune lebten in den Wäldern und Bergen von Kadien, einer isolierten Region rund um das Kadische Meer.
