Cassowary, Cedar, Lynxford, Korkryn, and Ser Kerridin teleported to Black Shark Bay, and from there travelled via ship to the Isle of Vot. Upon the Isle, they discovered an ancient pre-Disjunction temple — the Temple of Vot — which housed strange statues. The central statue is believed to be that of the Apparent Credence. The Scofflaws awoke the Temple Guardian, who conversed with them about the Song of Creation and Guestright, which it described as the "First Promise of the Song to Itself." The Guardian became enraged by the usage of Chorric, and the Scofflaws fled into the depths of the temple, where they encountered several snake-like people before being whisked away.
