The Northern Arm

Bordered by the Spine to the west and the Silver Ocean to the east, this stewardship encompasses the northeastern corner of Galladia. The capital of this kingdom is the White Keep of Tierney, an obvious choice if one were to come upon the massive fortress. The Hontim family currently inhabit this castle and have gained great respect from the other houses of Galladia. This kingdom draws its power not only from this strategic icon but also from the rich agricultural and fishing regions that make up its territory. It has a formidable army that makes up for its lack of numbers in skill, and many of the soldiers are capable of using the Aura.

Military

The military tradition of this kingdom is one of honor and status. Their cavalry is known throughout the realm for their charges, as well as their swordsmanship. They do not have much in the way of a navy, but have rarely ever seen the need for one. They do possess some cutters to protect against piracy, and the Rose Guard have a couple of large ships with which to carry out operations.
They possess special forces such as the Rose Guard, which are adept Ekipter riders and act as the special forces of the stewardship.

Religion

The Northern Arm officially recognizes the Gods of Creation as their patron gods. This especially includes the minor god, Mundis, who has a large temple in the city.
Many everstones are also present in the region, and some people are still said to follow this religion and practice ancient rites at these monuments.

Agriculture & Industry

The region of the Northern Arm is a very fertile farming area for the rest of Galladia and the world. The sediments from the Spine mountains have been eroded away for thousands of years creating a rich soil with which to grow various types of grains and foodstuffs. The large rivers and Lake Mundi help to irrigate the lands around Tierney, furthering increasing the kingdoms yields. This also allows for the raising of valar, cows, sheep, pigs and other smaller creatures.
The Forefathers brought Ekipters to the region when they first began to colonize it, and today these creatures are bred across the region. This mostly takes place near Tierney, where skilled trainers raise some of the most skilled Ekipters in Gloratium. The region is also home to many skilled craftsmen who forge deadly weapons and spin terrific textiles. The fishing industry has also flourished along the coasts of this country, fueled by the presence of Todean Blade in the northern waters.

Legislative Body
The Northern Arm Council is made up of a single elected official from the major towns and villages of The Northern Arm. This body provides council and policy recommendation to the Steward of The Northern Arm. Laws are sometimes drafted in this body, but otherwise, this is done by the executive power, the Steward. However, under the original founding documents of The Northern Arm region, this council was created to prevent a rogue Steward from overpowering the good of the people. Under dire circumstances, the Council may conduct a vote, which must be unanimous, to ask the Steward to step down. If the Steward refuses to step down, a lot is taken of the most powerful families of the land, and if they agree, the Steward must step down. So far, this has never happened, and has never come close. Under normal circumstances, Stewardship is passed down through lineage.
Judicial Body
The Council acts as the judicial body for major cases. In most cases, judges are chosen by the locally elected member of the council, which is most often an alumnus of the academy or someone with political experience.
