Northbreak
Amidst the sharp cliffs of the eastern coast of the Northern Arm, merchants revel in the sight of the Northbreak lighthouse and watchtower that stands on a high bluff overlooking the harbor. Many merchants will weigh anchor in Northbreak on their way to Thalaston, or to ride out especially harsh storms, and upon entering Northbreak Bay, find a stone wall encircling rough-hewn stone houses lining the shores and extending up the rocky hillsides. However, for most of these merchants, this is a short stop, as they continue their way north to Thalaston during the summer months. During the winter, harsh storms blowing in the Congoma Ocean make travel by sea difficult, but not impossible. During these months, merchants looking to make a hefty profit may risk a run across the Congoma from Storm Stone, looking to sell goods that often run scarce in the winter, but not all are successful. Beyond just a stop for wayward travellers, Northbreak is home to many farmers and timber workers, and fishing and whaling boats line the wharfs year-round. A small garrison of the Northern Arm military is also stationed at the nearby watchtower, which sits across the bay from one of the best known Everstones in the Northern Arm.
