Fontriñ Pelnar

Master Trustee Fontriñ Vènbràyënaku Pelnar

Fontriñ Pelnar is a Del'ya Feloran and current Master Trustee of the Sarendian Trust. Born to a family of artisanal workworkers who specialised in building home furnishings such as chairs, bed frames, and tables, Fontriñ became enamoured with the mining technology brought to Sarendia by Galisean dwarves during the early years of the Sarendian Trust, and after his Törn'kèu Ritual, he began prospecting regions held by the Trust in the defunct Eritrene Republic. As Master Trustee, Pelnar has been focusing on establishing new trade routes to points west and north, as he tries to move the Trust away from the Dotharan Alliance's shadow.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Fontriñ is in generally good condition, neither chubby nor skinny, although he is a capable rower from his early days moving his mined materials on his own small canal barge. He is average in his agility, being able to catch an accidentally knocked over object around two thirds of the time.

Body Features

Fontriñ has a medium build, with a little bit of bulk on his upper arms due to his rowing. His shoulders are on the broader side of most Elves, although average compared to most Human men.

Personal history

Fontriñ was born the same year as the annexation the Eritrene Republic. Pelnar grew up in a merchant's household, with both parents working a small shop together in Èrintrel. His father is a woodworker, while his mother, originally from Soren, a talented seamstress. He would hear stories of how food was scarce, raids were frequent, and corruption rampant in the days of the Erentrene Republic, and they instilled in him the skills for the mercantile. The two still run their shop today.   However, Fontriñ's own interests in exploring and far away lands and peoples lead him to study metallurgy from a Cyrenic metallurgist who sought to exploit the untapped ores in the Vhaelhest Mountains. At the age of 93, he became a metallurgist himself, and with the master craftsperson who taught him, founded the Sarendian Mining & Metallurgy Guild.   The Guild struck upon good fortune within the first year of it's formation, with the discovery of veins of gold, osmium, and coal. Within 15 years, Fontriñ was the Guildmaster, and membership of the guild had grown to include more than 40 metallurgists with dozens of mines between each of them, dotting the northern parts of the Sarendian Trust.   Pelnar recently became Master Trustee of the Sarendian Trust after the death of the previous Trustee, Ferig’a Lethonel, was imprisoned for her role in the Feloran War of Unification. He has used his position to put official backing to the Guilds in the Trust that have been gravitating away from the Inner Feloran-Tealastrian Coast canal-based routes of trade and funded organised expeditions to set up trading networks along the Yulani Coast and up to Western Galisea, seeking new shores beyond the Tealastrian.

Gender Identity

Fontriñ considers himself to be what most would view as a "man", although in Feloran culture, gender identity is more individualistic, and such labels are largely for convenience.

Sexuality

Attracted to primarily men, Fontriñ is considered by most who know him to be Dòīntrerìs, and has had multiple public relationships with Feloran, Dotharan, and Aeillan men.
