Protectorates of Nikos

The Protectorates of Nikos is perhaps the most conventionally powerful nation in the whole world, its huge navy makes it by far the most dominant power on the seas and no other nation is able to field a force strong enough to challenge them upon the seas since the battle of Farring reef between the Protectorates and the Dorwinion empire. The ultimate power in the whole Protectorates lies with the Patrician and his council in Nikos, the wealth and naval power situated in Nikos makes it the wealthiest region in the world. The Protectorates overwhelming naval strength allows its merchant fleet to dictate global trade patterns that most nations follow in order for their own trade fleets to do their business freely. Because of this trade to the Dorwinion empire from outside parties has slowed to almost a standstill with the Protectorates blacklisting them due to practices of slavery and their repeated attempts to invade the Protectorates.
