Genovar

The world of Genovar is a world that has recovered from being broken. Over 800 years ago the cataclysmic war that resulted from half the gods being overcome by the darker elements of their formation. The continents were originally in one long unbroken chain stretching across the world, now they are broken into three pieces. Two of the gods in this war were slain and their bodies lie as the core of massive islands in the ocean where the remnants of their host continue to battle it out after centuries. The battle of the gods weakened many of the planar barriers causing parts of the world to overlap with the Feywild and elemental plane of fire. Only one civilaisation truly survived the war of the gods, a desert kingdom ruled by metallic dragons using their shapeshifting abilities to present themselves as an eternal dynasty. Using captured spirits they were able to restore their domains to as it was before the breaking of the world. Other races such as the giants and elves wish to reclaim their old kingdoms glories and drive out the human realm that has occupied it in the intervening years.
