Hourglass Harpy

The Hourglass Harpies are a breed of harpies - winged monsters with humanoid features - local to the Hourglass Desert in Gardenoor. They are discerned from the others of their ilk by their vulture-like bodies, flappy breasts and crooked necks. They like to adorn themselves with trinkets looted from their victims. Researches assume they were created when the Fellstar struck the world, releasing wild magic that caused mutations everywhere.
Harpies are sadistic and cruel by nature, taking pleasure in tormenting their victims. They mostly prey on caravans crossing the desert, but have even been known to attack airships as well. The Air Brigade of Gardenoor is ironically named after them.
