Aurochs

Aurochs are a breed of large cattle that was tamed in ancient times. They are known for their massive bulk, long corkscrew horns and thick fur. Although dangerous if aggravated, aurochs are known for their gentle nature.
Farmers in the southern part of Chronan still use aurochs to plow the fields and pull wagons, although steam engines have diminished their use in modern times. Their meat and milk is considered highly nutritious, and there is even a saying in Parcivale that "a single aurochs can feed a family of halflings". The orcish and goblinoid clans in Geigerport also utilize them as steeds.
