Wherein The Interdimensional Blinkerton Detective Agency converse with the Goddess of Dreams

Deeper into the Place of Dreamers

The Blinkertons continued their cleansing of Alomera's temple by combating the forces of Caesis corrupting it. This manifested in a battle between several of the arbiter of scorn and malice's most ardent followers.
In the process, Hypatia met an individual known as The Actuary,. who was not surprised to see our adventurers. Indeed, he expected them, gifting Hypatia with a book that she, apparently, wrote herself called The Shelves of Unanswered Questions. He bade her to crack the cipher protecting this tome and took his leave. Strange! But these Caesis cultists were still about, so there was little time to investigate that further.
Eventually, our heroes came face to face with a Chosen of Caesis and engaged in a brutal fight. Exhausted and bloodied, they emerged victorious, topping his shrine and allowing Alomera to once again manifest through the guise of Venomhead, her voice stronger and more resolute.
She told them that The Displacement is connected to another "ancient-old" god--the God of Memory. She explained, as best she could in the language that hasn’t been forbidden to her, what’s happening. Whatever the Displacement is, it is because of Memory. She hinted at some connection she has to Memory, culminating in a insurmountable loss suffered by the two of them. In his grief, Memory is literally destroying the Skein--that which ties all existence together--and will probably destroy reality as we know it. To investigate further, they need access to the Skein of Memory, wherever that is.
Though she regained some of her power, her strength is not what it once was, and the conversation concluded with her vanishing once again, but not before appointing Venomhead as caretaker of this temple. For his part, Venomhead seemed enthusiastic about this stewardship.
Our heroes then decided to head back to New Carydam to determine their next steps.

Varied & Sundry Details

• The Blinkertons came across a statue of Alomera with something chiseled out of her hands. It was unclear what, or whom, had been removed.
• Ra'a'l threatened a captive forced to work as a bartender for the Caesis cultists. He didn't like that much.
