Messelum
(a.k.a. Mess)
Messelum is the general manager of Fickle Fortune Palace of Entertainments and an associate of Rare Zoramar.
He allows his close friends to call him "Mess." Those are few and far between.

Known for his impeccable sartorial expressions, Mess has an extensive collection of cravats. He is particularly fond of one made from driq stalk silk, which is found only in the Kingdom of Kh'Axros and notoriously hard to import.

Personal history
Messelum arrived in New Carydam in 1069 AC. Nobody is certain exactly where he came from--some say Gattland while others are more confident in his origins in the Drembari Isles.
He found work at the recently reconstructed Fortune, working his way up from stagehand to general manager at a quick pace. Those employed at the theater have remarked on the strong connection forged between Messelum and Rare Zoramar, the owner of the Fortune.
Since Rare's election and appointment to Freeholder of New Carydam, Mess' duties and obligations have grown substantially. Rare himself is on record as considering Mess indispensable to the smooth operation of New Carydam interests, and, as such, Mess' political capital has also increased since that time.
Education
As with most of Mess' history, the level of his education is unknown. Given his speaking ability, and his successful management of the Fortune, it is thought that he was either apprenticed to a theater group in a previous engagement or has studied rhetoric and management at some point during his life.
Mess has found no reason to clarify any of the rumors of the extent of his education with definitive answers.
Employment
Mess has been employed by the Fortune since his arrival in New Carydam, and has served as the general manager since 1072 AC. The specific duties of that role are often ambiguous to outside observers, but Messelum has proven himself to be an individual who can get the job done time and time again.
Messelum himself would describe his duties as somewhere between a chief of staff to Rare Zoramar and a factotum to the theater.

Mess' family relationships are unknown to the general populace. Most can infer, however, that he feels a strong brotherly bond with Rare.
