Rare Zoramar is a Freeholder of Free Cities of Marlock, representing New Carydam.
Rare is known for cunning business deals and an ability to see all sides of any equation. This skillset, along with an abiding belief in self-interest as an organization principle, has led many Cityfolk to rely on his leadership for the best interests of the Cities.

Some have remarked that Rare must be at least 80 years old, but doesn't look a day over 40.
Those who try to investigate the matter soon find themselves encouraged to mind their own business.

Personal history
Rare knows the value of information, so not much is widely known about his history before his arrival in New Carydam in 1065 AC.
What is known is that he came from somewhere in Gattland and established a small tavern called Little Bird in The Library. He became known as a close associate (some would say more than close) of Rastirid Hornback and closed Little Bird to help her run Fickle Fortune Palace of Entertainments.
The Fortune burned down in 1067 and Hornback died in the fire. Rare, with the help of a few investors, rebuilt the theater. In 1073, Rare bought out the other investors and became sole owner of the Fortune. It was around this time that some in the city started to urge Rare to run for the office of Freeholder. He did so in 1075 and won in a landslide.
He has held that office ever since, doing most of his official business not out of Starminster Hold, but out of the rooms in the Fortune.
