Kevin-Kevin

The family Kevin-Kevin is a prominent shipping and manufacturing family based out of Luu. While their business interests are varied, they are primarily known for their efforts in the obsidian and tvelk industries.
According to family tradition, the name Qevin Kevin-Kevin is passed down through the generations. After the previous Qevin Kevin-Kevin dies, the next child born in the family is named Qevin Kevin-Kevin, regardless of gender identity.
The HMS Kevin, despite not being the most advanced or capable ship in the family fleet, serves as the Kevin-Kevin flagship, often undertaking diplomatic forays alongside regular business ventures.

• Stavrik Kevin-Kevin--patriarch and merchant, steers family operations from Trueglass, the family estate on Luu.
• Qevin Kevin-Kevin V , called Rain, firstborn son of Stavrik Kevin-Kevin and Greeta Kevin-Kevin (formerly Rainerk). Captain of the HMS Kevin.
• Cozner Kevin-Kevin --lost at sea aboard the HMS Kevin during a particularily violent storm off the coast of Humik in Matahak.
• Valzu Kevin-Kevin--adopted daughter of Stavrik, captaining The Reluctant Prince.

Structure

All family business--important economic decisions as well as diplomatic endeavors--is conducted, in some form or another, through the family enclave in southwestern Luu called Trueglass.
The family currently steered by Stavrik Kevin-Kevin. The presumptive next steward of the family's interests is his son, Kevin Kevin-Kevin V, called Rain.

Culture

Many members of the family Kevin-Kevin value two personality attributes above all others--a strong sense of the importance of calculated risk, and the loyalty to family endeavors above all else.

Public Agenda

While making no secret of their collective ambition, most Kevin-Kevin family members believe themselves working on behalf of the people of the Isles, and are devoted to the Bari Pantheon, especially Baena.

Assets

The family Kevin-Kevin has access to significant resources. In addition to its estate of Trueglass on Luu, it maintains formal and informal trading and manufacturing concerns throughout the Isles and Keshloam.
While its fleet of twenty-two ships are mostly designed for trading, they can also be refitted to engage in warfare.

History

The family Kevin-Kevin can trace its history in the Drembari Isles back at least eight generations, beginning with Kevin Kevin-Kevin I and her business concerns on Kattagari. From there, the family trade--primarily the manufacture and shipping of obsidian rock and tvelk, a strong briny beverage fermented from sprouted winter barley, algae, and water,--blossomed.
The family prospered over the years--especially under the stewardship of Kevin Kevin-Kevin III--expanding their shipping concerns to Isles beyond Luu and into mainland Keshloam.
These successes were not without tragedy, however, as many members of the family Kevin-Kevin reside within "Rhagtar's Embrace," meaning they were lost in The Vast, a victim of those sometimes treacherous waters.
