Froggmorden (FROG-more-den)
Froggmorden is a hamlet in Free Cities of Marlock. It is situated on Sleeper's Notch, a inlet of The Sleepless Sea.
Demographics
Most Froggers belong to one of three major families--the Hogheart, the Dhiessi, and the Woodbines. While disputes sometimes arise between these entities, it is mostly agreed that finding ways to raise the fortunes of the family is in the best interest of Froggmorden as a whole.
Government
Since the population is so small, Froggers have not yet felt the need to organize a government. Froggers will typically seek to build consensus among any issues that might involve the whole community. If consensus cannot be reached, then most Froggers look to the elders of the community to make the decision.
Industry & Trade
As the name would suggest, the economy of Froggmorden is is frog-based. The marsh surrounding Froggmorden, as well as the pond encircled by the hamlet, provide ample resources of frogs of varied species. Every part of harvested frog is used to make a variety of products. The meat and organs of the frog are sold for food--with the legs and eggs being particular sought after in Gattland. The blood, when boiled and aged, lends itself well as a ink designed for magical purposes. Even the bones are useful as they are ground down and sold as a "natural evening enhancement."
Points of interest
Bikirk's Willow, an ancient tree situated in the middle of Froggmorden's pond, drew curious arborists and naturalists from around the Free Cities of Marlock to discover the secret of its longevity.
Recently, however, the tree suffered the effects of The Displacement, as it was "blinked" to parts unknown. A strange, altogether different, tree "blinked" in in its stead.
