Intervention Overview

Penitents Doric, Sennic and Oorah are joined by Janos Giantbane on an Intervention to Froggmorden. The hamlet has been beset by a curse that is turning the community into frogs. Madame Muckminder--a strange fey being currently living with the Froggers--understands this to be the work of some entity in the Evergrowth--a place of existence where strange magics and natural affinities twist and twirl. Our Penitents will need to venture into the Evergrowth and find ingredients for her tea, which will dispel the curse from the Froggers. The Penitent agreed to do this.
The Evergrowth itself presented many challenges as they set about gathering the Evergloam Mushrooms, petals of the Dead Moon Flower, and handfuls of Ancestral Moss. They encountered Evergrowth Bears, would-be poachers, creatures that blessed them with "egg magic," giant snakes and Froggoblins, and more. Eventually, it became clear that this curse was laid upon the villagers of Froggmorden by a disgruntled Froggoblin, Hakzab the Historian, who viewed their harvesting of frog and frog-related parts as heresy. Unfortunately, this came to combat and our Penitents triumphed.
Their gathering complete--and with a promise to the Froggoblins to try and work out a more equitable solution with the Froggers vis a vis frog consumption--our Penitents headed back to the surface to help Madame Murkminder brew her curing tea.

Salient Details

• Apparently, part of the deal Muckminder struck with Brelvonis was that she herself would join the Penitent at the conclusion of this Intervention. Her reasons for doing so are as of yet unknown.
• Janos and a boar-like creature named Thundertusk engaged in a "wrasslin'" contest. Janos emerged victorious and Thundertusk was much impressed.
