Laxúlan Wars

Ever since the Rexans crossed the Noron River in southern Laxilþía and conquered the North Hótics, South Hótics and coastal colonies of the Ænateans there, the rexans have been unable to expand their empire of Resak further east into Zraxos Forest due to fierce resistance by the native Laxúlans.
Despite numerous invasions into the forest -most recently lead by the late Haxus Lolxus, father of emperor Þraloxíanus the Younger-, superior numbers and better equipment, the rexans have so far been unable to gain any control of the region, due to rough terrain, high-quality weapons and guerrilla tactics employed by the natives.
Attacks by the laxúlans are uncommon, however, as their tribal coalitions formed during rexan invasions usually dissolve soon afterwards. The last time this happened was under the leadership of chief Hiri a few decades ago.
Because of this, the rexans have since turned their attention to expanding their empire to the Tingrenis Plain, north of Zraxos Forest, and for now rely on numerous forts lining the frontier to keep the laxúlans at bay.
