Vhessan Empire succesfully repelled all human invasion of Black Mountains, their primitive forces incapable of penetrating vast tunnels and underground cities build with magical technics dating back to Xylian Dominion.
Fall of steppe elves that earlier settled lands to the north from it was met with Vhessan Empire resistance right from the start. Dark elves tried to push them forward for long time, with empress Sareveta II finally succeeding. Steppe elves that earlier fled to Vhessana settled back their lands, now settled rather than nomadic, with their sorcerer-king being a vassal of Vhessan Empress.
