First real combat practice of newly created ogres, that are sent against kivanthians in massive numbers, further bolstered by xyl warmachines.
Xylian Dominion launched third attempted invasion of Kivanthian Doctrinate, a state on continent of Lana created by splinter group of Dominion, that choose more spiritual rather than mechanical road of progress, while still using great technomaturgy to create machines dedicated to both war and peace.. This time their warmachines are supported by tens of thousands of trained and well equipped ogres.
The biggest flaw of ogres is soon discovered, as many of them simply desert after Xyls accompanying them are killed, with their simple minds not feeling any serious attachment to Xylian cause, only to certain individuals.
Kivanthians soon exploit that weakness by targeting their attacks on Xylian overseers, and then persuading the orphaned ogres to fight at their side by promising them lands to settle, food or other things ogres find interesting. Soon the invasion forces are repelled, and Xylian bridgehead on archipelago near Lana narrowly escapes overwhelming by kivanthian warmachines accompanied by ogres.
