Ravenfjords
Called Hrafnafjorðen in Tallað, the Wylden native tongue, the Ravenfjords is a long peninsula in northwestern Hrafnawyld, with several deep, jagged fjords along the western side. It is the location of the Ravenfjords Jórveif of the Wylden.
Geography
The Ravenfjords are ruggedly mountainous and extensively covered with old-growth, boreal forest. Nearly all Wylden settlement is along the western coast, particularly deep within the fjords and at their headlands. A massive glacier, Hrafnajökull, occupies most of the interior of the peninsula, cutting the inhabited regions in two where it descends to sea level at the aptly named Jökullfjorðr, or Glacial Fjord. The entire eastern side of the landmass is wild and uninhabited, save by beasts and Fájunn.
Natural Resources
The Ravenfjords are abundant with good timber, stone, and marine resources. Though some limited mining and prospecting is done for metals and precious stones, most of these resources are obtained from elsewhere, particularly the Black Mountains.
History
Hrafnafjorðen was one of the first regions permanently settled by the Wylden immediately after The Godswar, along with the Black Mountains and Icewall Glacier; along with these, it was one of the first three Jórveifen formed in Hrafnawyld, as Ravenfjords Jórveif.
