Lillian has always known that Xexilia's life would not be easy but she has believed in her daughter's strength to ender though she wishes she didn't have too. Lillian realizes of all her children Xexilia's life will be the hardest. She is glad Xexilia isn't like her in many ways because she knows her daughter will need a different kind of strength to face her trials. Xexilia loves her mother but after the age of 8 she hasn't had much or any contact with her mother and this has made her very bitter. She believes that if she had grown up with her mother's presence in her life was would be a better person.

It was love at twenty third skinned knee, and future soon after. The love of children however is not the foundation of the rest of ones life, Lillian had a lot to give but Alee would have himself be the only receiver. And thus when Lilian and Alee finally got around to marriage the love had changed to more of a passionate friendship but time warps all things. Alee's reverence for the kind women turns to obsession as the pressure of power forces from him his uglies natures. Finally Alee has enough and takes from Lillian everything that makes her her, her ability to love her family and he keeps it to himself, he keeps her in a garden surrounded by his love and flowers and he never ever lets her out.
