Qualifications

Born to a Baron, promoted from a Baronet or awarded the title for services to the crown

Requirements

Born to a noble family or promoted by Emperor

Appointment

there may be a ceremony with the emperor or a Duke or Dominar may deliver the news of change of station to the recipient

Duties

collecting taxes from any lands you govern.  Running of the lands assigned

Responsibilities

Do not bring disgrace to the empire, paying taxes, sending troops

Benefits

allowed to attend court, petition the crown for an audience, wealth

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

misdeeds brought to the attention of the crown, treason, a serious crime, or occasionally a severe scandal will have the emperor remove the title
