Was originally sought after by Bogdan Grimbind but resisted the temptations for evil.
Zane finally kills the old Bogdan.
He found a true family in the Syndicate.
Good friends with Antoine Quickmark.
Broke off his engagement to Tamara.
Called "Sheepslayer" since he will only feed on animals.
Has a tattoo of the Syndicate logo on his leg.
Carries a dagger that houses a vile in the handle, this dagger can syphon blood into it for him to store.
After the Decimation of Skygarde, Zane wandered around the war torn Galfin until he found himself in the Mooncrest Woods.
Now that Bogdan was not a threat, Zane went to see the Grimbind Manor.
The house had seemingly been lived in up until very recently so Zane ate the food and slept in the beds.
After a week of staying at the manor, Swipes showed up and asked him for a favor from Gungkor.
Swipes needed Zane's invisibility to enter the Shockgrove Caves and scout around.
Zane succombed to the Fogholt Plague when he was 12.
With days left to live, Zane decided to tell his best friend goodbye.
Near the Incantum Forest border, Zane and Antoine were attacked by a hungry vampire.
Zane told Antoine to run becanse Zane was dead from the disease anyways.
Antoine struggled but ended up running.
About 100 yards away, he found a bow with the Spawnhunters ensignia on it. Beside that was sanctified wooded stake arrow.
Zane was bitten by the monster and turned. He began sucking the boy's blood.
Just before Zane was killed a sharpened wooden stake struck the vampires heart. Zane looked up to see Antoine standing with the bow aimed.
Amazingly, the vampirism cleansed Zane's body of the Fogholt Plague and he did not die.
That day, Zane pledged that he would not feed on human blood to quench his hunger.
The Quickmark's used their Wild Men pay to help Zane feed off livestock to feed the need for blood.
After his condition became public to the people of Wildehail, almost everyone disowned Zane Feerskar.
His parents abandoned him in the city so the Quickmark's took him in. Antoine did not think any less of his friend.
4 years later, both the Quickmark parents, members of the Wild Men, died on the line of duty.
Antoine's father had used his connections to set Antoine up with proper training with he High Guard in the event of their deaths. Zane was not so lucky.
Zane did not want to leave his best friend so he moved to Skygarde with Antoine Quickmark.
They remained friends as they grew up but lived much different lives.
Zane began to live off the streets while Antoine slept in a warm barracks.
Zane met the Ghost, who took Zane under his mentorship.
While Antoine Quickmark trained to be an archer for the High Guard, Zane trained to be a thief for the Syndicate.
When Zane was about 25, he met the feared Bogdan Grimbind.
Bogdan severely beat Zane, calling him pathetic and a waste of a vampire.
Bogdan labelled him "Sheepslayer" because he was too "weak" to feast on real blood.
Zane was hunted by the Spawnhunter Kaiser when he was staying in the Grimbind Manor.
Zane and Swipes defeated a gang of Spawnhunters who had been taking hostages to draw Zane out.
Zane could not defeat Kaiser, the Spawnhunter shot Zane with his holy arrow, incredibly wounding the undead.
Zane whisped over to the weakened Kaiser and turned him. This was the first blood Zane had ever drank directly from the source.
Zane then used Kaiser's own sanctified stake to kill the vampire hunter.
