Had many run ins with the Tyrwood Goblin camp.
They constantly stole his goats.
He kept his prized goat locked up tight so they couldn't steal it.
The report is fuzzy but over a few days time, a gang of miscreants or possibly slavers showed up to Tobias' house drunk.
Tobias was ridiculed and beaten.
The group then trashed his home and sold his prized Lucy to the Tyrwood Goblins.
The gang of thugs went on to aid the slaving community in Ming'ye and gather friends such as the crime kingpin Jericho.
To cover their tracks, the gang returned days later to kill farmer Tobias and loot his house.
His body was found mutilated days later by the authorities. Oddly enough, the goblin camp's wall had been destroyed and the goat was missing.
Killer was never found.
