The Silent Strand
When a member of the Twilight Sepulchre passes away, they are honoured with a funeral rite known as the Silent Strand. The body is placed upon a pyre woven from spider silk and lavender, and the mourners gather around, their faces veiled in black. As the pyre is lit, the Strandweavers recite the deceased's most significant dreams, believed to be the threads they have contributed to the Weave during their lifetime. The ashes are then scattered under the night sky, allowing the soul to ascend into the Weave, where they will continue to dream with Twilight for eternity. This rite is a solemn reminder that death is not the end but a continuation of the eternal cycle of lives lived within dreams.
