Milo was once a devoted follower of Foulrot, the god of decay, until his faith withered in the face of personal tragedy. A sickness claimed his family in Deyabad, and the silence of the gods left him embittered. He found solace in the Unorthodox Church, an order that sought to sever the ties between mortals and deities, believing that communities could thrive without divine intervention. Kenji’s teachings resonated with him, and together, they built a new life on the island of Eidon under the guise of altruism. The Unorthodox Church presented itself as a sanctuary, offering aid to the people, but its true purpose was revealed during the Sansaints Festival—a purge of every temple on the island, a calculated step toward Vlox’s ultimate goal: the consumption of rival gods.
Milo met his end in the chaos that followed. During the summoning of the Undead Harrowers, the Shatterbrand realized they had walked into an ambush. As the dead rose to slaughter the island’s defenders, Milo fought to see Kenji’s vision realized, but the resistance proved stronger than expected. His death marked the first major failure of the cult, yet his blind devotion to their cause helped set events in motion that would not easily be undone.
