Dusseldorf

Age has bent Dusseldorf’s back but not his will. His hands still coax vines into motion, thick green ropes that lift and carry folk through Adrionne from the shelter of a wooden platform grown rather than built. He speaks little while working, eyes always tracking the slow pulse of the forest, as if listening to instructions only he can hear. The Crimson Elves tolerate few outsiders, yet his presence draws no blades.
He once lived deep in Eleyond, kin to Nootka the Thymekeeper, until the Summer of Smoke swallowed the groves. Dusseldorf survived and guiding a herd of winged deer, known as peryton through fire and ash, fleeing until his strength gave out near Adrionne. The Autumn Moon elves found him half-dead and chose to keep him alive, a decision made because he risked his life to safe the wildlife.
Now he serves as a courier, delivering letters and sealed bundles across the Incantum Forest along hidden paths. Elves of many courts recognize him and let him pass, mostly out of habit but also due to trust.
