Diggory Eest

Stormblood Diggory Eest

Diggory Eest ruled Eidon with a farmer’s patience rather than a warlord’s hand. He carried the staff called Weeping Willow and used it sparingly, calling mist and light rain to keep the island’s fields alive when the seas turned cruel. His authority came from steadiness, not fear. Eidon is the farming island of Pacura with weather ideal to produce all season crops.
Life was peaceful and calm for his simple people. They tended the farms, avoided the jungle and bathed in the mud pits. When an unnatural storm began over the horizon, Diggory’s life was writ for sadness and loss. A malevolent force of Pacura’s origin resurfaced when Eelisma called upon the strongest three islands to take from the six necessary but weaker islands of Pacura. The Obelisks of Sootha began their machinations. Eelisma started the ritual by kidnapping and sacrificing Dhomas, son of the Eidon Stormblood, to the sea, with hopes of bringing the vengeful spirit if the sea goddess back from her rest at the bottom of the ocean. The ritual was unsuccessful and thus, Dhomas’ life was thrown away by misguided prophecy.
The Other Obelisks were Borigan, Tayne and Thormund. All three began their attacks on the lesser islands with intent on ending the other Stormbloodlines and collection ancient pearls that could bring back Sootha in her irreparable rage.
When Thormund of Typhon brought fire to Eidon, Diggory stayed with his people. He was killed alongside during the assault that broke the island’s Stormblood line. What remained were scorched fields, scattered survivors, and a rulerless land. Those who knew him still speak less of his death than of the quiet years before it, when crops grew on time and storms passed without fury.
His memory lives on as the Adventuring group known as the Shatterbrand were bestowed Eidon after defeating the plot of Eelisma and the Obelisks. Diggory and Dhomas both have commemorative statues placed on Eidon’s shore to remind all that rebuilt who it was that sowed these lands before.
