Aleazar Umbralna

The Waking Tower of Twilight   The Aleazar Umbralna, the Waking Tower, is a shadowed twin to the Celestia, built in the mortal realm to honour Twilight and serve as its sister temple. Once a gleaming monument in the thriving coastal town of Blacktide Rest, the Umbralna now looms like a dark sentinel over a forsaken land. Its onyx walls drink in the light, their surfaces appearing as an endless void that reflects no image.   Built as a temple to the Matron of Dreams on a cliff made of black stone. The dirt and stone has the same discolouration and is the reason the town that formed at its base was known as Blacktide Rest. This temple was built as a sister tower to the Aleazar Celestia, the Sleeping Tower in the Weave. The point of the builds were to connect the worshippers of Twilight to commune while awake or asleep.   Over many centuries, the worship of Twilight was lessened as their followers were driven out of the Blackened Tower. Many guilds and criminals used the port and tower as a stronghold, the town itself slowly faded to ruin.   One of the longest tenured of rule was under a dark wizard known as the Blue Warlock. This horned mage used to lure the young to join her ranks as she worked to expand her army of followers.   The Siege of Aleazar Umbralna This ancient tome details the historical events of the Siege of the Blackened Tower, where the Ivorian forces warred with an ancient blue wizard for nearly a month. The book recounts the cunning strategies employed by the dwarf General Thalrik Stonehand, a celebrated military tactician, and the ultimate sacrifice that secured the Ivorian victory. It is Illustrated with hand-drawn battle maps and accounts from surviving soldiers.     Lady Damia Another magic user with a blue ascetic but kinder intentions took over the Aleazar Umbralna. A faction of criminals had used the tower to raid nearby Greywyn tribes until Lady Damia and her Midnight Conclave cleared them out and began aiding the nearby settlements.   Around the end of the Fourth Era Lady Damia went missing while searching underneath the depths of her tower and her Midnight Conclave disbanded. Now a local werewolf pack known as the Bloodmoon pack has held the tower for many generations. Currently the tower is ruled by Rhyvek Bloodmoon.   The tower is weathered by years of neglect, its sharp, spire-like silhouette cutting into the gray skies above. Cracks mar its once-smooth surface, and creeping vines have claimed the lower walls, their dark tendrils twisting like forgotten dreams clawing for recognition. Inside, its chambers are cold and cavernous, filled with echoes of footsteps long since passed. The temple once housed priests and dreamers who sought to bridge the gap between the waking world and the Weave. Now, only silence reigns, broken occasionally by the faint howls of wind through its hollow corridors.   The Umbralna’s decline began with the fall of Blacktide Rest. Brigands overran the town, stripping its wealth and driving its people to ruin. With the town abandoned, the Waking Tower became a husk of its former self, its connection to the Weave growing tenuous. Yet deep within its highest chamber, a faint, pulsing light lingers—a tether to its sister tower, the Sleeping Tower, in the dream-realm. Though the Umbralna stands in ruin, its bond to the Celestia remains unbroken, a silent testament to the enduring power of the twin temples and the goddess they serve.   These towers, though separated by worlds, mirror each other in purpose and fate, their fates intertwined as reflections in the great tapestry of the Weave. Where one falters, the other trembles, and the fate of Twilight’s domain rests upon their shared resilience.
