0907-a: Perithy
Perithy is an earth-like planet that was once a centre of governance for the once hegemonic Terran Mandate. Since their fall, the New Terran Mandate have taken their place and occupied the few cities that now mark Perithy as one of many technologically advanced worlds in the Fondat Cluster.
Geography
Perithy's mass is approximately 0.94 times that of earth, orbits at 0.17 AU from its parent star resulting in an orbital period of 0.13 earth years and its dense iron core grants it a gravitational pull of 1.2G. The planet's atmosphere is a typical oxygen/nitrogen mix with a pressure of 1.7atm which gives the sky on the planet a rich blue colour. The heightened oxygen density has an effect on the people who live on the planet's surface; those on the planet tend to focus better and are generally happier.
The planet is surrounded by a thin planetary ring that is visible from the surface but faint when viewed from space. The ring is the remenant of the asteroid RRVB-146 which was destroyed by the planetary defence weapon Henge on the 18th of June 2892.
The planet's lone moon is Rythis, a desolate silicate body with a mass 0.2 times that of Perithy.
