Maldanite Metal
Overview
Maldanite metal has the same melting point as iron, is as strong as refined steel, and has about the same weight. Maldanite metal has a tendency to ratine its sharpness far longer than normal iron or steel. A maldanite sword only needs to be sharpened three times a year. A side effect of maldanite is that it blocks magic from forming properly, while it doesn't absorb it like maldanite cores, it just dampens all magic. However for it to dampen ones magic it must be touching ones skin, it does not have an area of effect like the maldanite cores. And it will not drive other races insane like the cores will.
