The 5 families of Bersail

The 5 families of Bersail are the government and authority of Bersail. The families were initially powerfull merchant families in the city which eventually coalesced into a governmental body.
Each of the 5 families selects 1 representative to be the leading head which those 5 together form a council which primarily makes the governing decicions on Bersail. Due to the fact each of the families are also prominent merchants, the families commonly together apply things to the city which aid their own business ventures.
The 5 families and the city are a vassal under broader Porondar, though this has not always been the case, Bersail has long been a bit independent in part because of how powerfull it independently is, the merchant families often feeling being a vassal is more negative than positive for the city. The families are: Yakovna, Comnena, Ethain, Hötam and Fealcen.
