Hythenos

The southwestern continent of Gaion's mortal plane.

Hythenos worldbuilding The Vibronet - enter collection of magic tech relays that transmit radio and sound waves across long distances throughout all of Gretannia. Vibronet Receivers were placed in populated areas of The kingdom   Grettanian Empire - ruled by King Narvon directly with the Glaive of Hytheron   Treaty of the underground - Signed between general Garen and the crime Lords of Gretannia. Basically forced all of the gangs into a crippling re-organization where they would have to rename and resurface under indirect supervision by Garin himself. They could not operate as they did in the old days but so long as they answered Karen’s call whenever he required their services they would do so. in exchange they will be left alone   Grettanian Warbeasts •War Ogre - genetically modified to be more subservient to their human superiors •Grettanian Dragon - genetically modified adult Storm dragons who do not bare the sentience of a normal dragon (more beastial and subservient)   Have people discovering the applications of nuclear energy from the perspective of the Goultani aura     Solternian Empire existed before Grettanian Empire, dominating similar regions & amplifying their solar magic with the Goultani Gaiostone   After the Rapture (end of the Hytherian Crusades), the Glaive of Hytheron was left behind in the mortal realm. His highest ranking generals fought for the power of the Glaive, with General Narvon being victorious and killing the others. He wielded the Glaive and took advantage of the power vacuum that Hytheron left, conquering all of Hythenos over the span of a few years. He also took over the abandoned Dalterra, which had a similar power vacuum due to Dahli’s disappearance, and destroyed Solternia’s capital city with the Glaive. He named his new nation the Grettanian Empire, and he spread the propaganda that Hytheron killed Dahli in battle.   Without a divine protector & wielding the power of the Goultani Gaiostone, Narvon conquered the Sun Elf lands and forced them into slave labor or conscription into the Grettanian military. For 900 years, the remains of the Solternian Empire were heavily excavated for their arcane science, technological advancements, & other secrets about their people. The region was also heavily excavated for its resources, particularly precious metals (gold & silver), fossil fuels, generic metals (for the military), & other rare materials.   In time, the Sun Elf civilization was wiped out in its original form. Most Sun Elves lived as slaves in the ever-expanding Grettanian Slave Trade, while others were conscripted as front line soldiers/cannon fodder for the imperial military. Few Sun Elves were able to escape from these fates, with all who were successful either fleeing up north to Faelaria or hiding within Dalterra & Hythenos.   Emperor Narvon ruled for approximately 900 years, with any sights of rebellion crushed by himself & his expanding military. However, Narvon was consumed by Goultani power, using it to lengthen his lifespan without regard for the consequences of immortality without divine worship (mental deterioration, ending with complete insanity). In his insanity, he challenged Hytheron himself to domain over the skies, who responded by possessing his demigod son, Artheus, creating a divine avatar to fight the king. Hytheron tapped into the collective minds of all of Hythenos, broadcasting the battle between him and Narvon to all his subjects. Hytheron showed no mercy, even against the odds of fighting a Gaiostone wielder. After a lengthy battle, Hytheron struck down Narvon atop the Grettanis, capital city of the Empire located within the Grettanian Mountains.   To ensure that no one defied his power again, Hytheron channeled all the power into his avatar possible, all while wielding his Glaive. With the light of the skies, Hytheron slammed his Glaive into the heart of the capital (the tallest mountain peak), reducing Grettanis to ruins. This move destroyed the Glaive & forces Hytheron’s divine spirit from Artheus’s body, freeing him from his entrapped curse & burying the Gaiostone deep within the (now volcanic) mountains. Artheus, as reward for his actions, was raptured to Hytheria and offered a place at his fathers side, becoming the God of Storms.   87 years later, Hythenos & Dalterra are not ruled by a single faction. When Narvon died, the empire split into various countries, generally under military or monarchial rule. The Grettanian Mountains (formerly the capital city, Grettania) has become a hostile environment, with many factions unsuccessfully trying to acquire the raw Goultani Gaiostone resting within the magma of the volcanic mountains. Garen’s country, New Grettania, was able to secure the region surrounding the mountains, but they proved too hospitable for even their Magma Golems to navigate due to the raw energy from the Gaiostone. However, Garen commissioned his scientists to develop defensive   In modern times, Hythenos is split up into several solver nations, some Dorvin some human. Southern Hythenos is tundra tiger kind of environment so the humans that live down there are very hearty and frost-based, almost Nordic. Feud with giants for territory. The humans built a wall to defend their kingdoms from the giants, enchanting it with Goultani magicks that strike out when acted upon by Garonis magic.   The human nations have varied levels of acceptance of nonhumans. While Grettania treats most nonhumans as second class citizens, some collaborate with nonhumans even employing them in their economies, governments and militaries. One of the southmost nations (before encroaching non giant territory) even accepts some ogres within their society, however limited.
