B&T Chapter 0: Sharpjaw's War Crimes

General Summary

Part 1

  Stalking through a jungle with 12 Wood Elf soldiers, Colonel Sharpjaw (leaders of his civilization know how dangerous he'd be as a general) have tracked down a group of 8 Sun Elf refugees 15 ft ahead of them.   Orders the men to surround the elves in a U-shape towards their society. Cast Silence on the Sun Elf group and orders his men to close in Sharpjaw drops out of the tree into the mouth of the U with longbow in hand, shoots it at the tallest, strongest Sun Elf  

Round 1

Sharpjaw - fires two arrows simultaneous at the Leader's eyes, blinding and dropping him prone with 19 damage. A few see and try to communicate frantically, but to no avail. Orders his men to execute all Sun Elves with 5 floor stomps with his spear, then throws the spear at the Scout. Hits with 7 damage to the face Wood Elf Soldiers: 9, 10, 9, 7, 6, 7, 6, 4, 8= 53 HP collectively. Archers execute the Scout Sun Elf Soldiers - fail to coordinate a counterattack   Combatants Sun Elf Scout (2) - 15 HP each, one took 7 piercing and then got executed Sun Elf Warrior (5) - 30 HP each, collectively take 53 damage, kills one and severely wounds another Sun Elf Leader (1) - 40 HP, 19 piercing damage, blinded & prone   Wood Elf Archers (2) - 1d8+2 piercing Wood Elf Maul - 2d6 bludgeoning Wood Elf Glaive - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Greatsword - 2d6 slashing Wood Elf Greataxe - 1d12 slashing Wood Elf Halberd - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Warhammer - 1d8 bludgeoning Wood Elf Scimitar - 1d6 slashing Wood Elf Longsword - 1d8/1d10 slashing Wood Elf Shortsword & Dagger - 1d6 & 1d4 piercing Wood Elf Shield & Axe - 1d6 slashing & +2 to AC  

Round 2

  Sharpjaw - summons Drake & double shots at the scout doing 11 piercing damage, grabs his spear and executes the Leader with 9 piercing damage Lamarva: Bites the Leader, doing 9 piercing & 4 poison, killing the leader. Displays the head bloodily dripping from the spear to the Elves. Initial order to his men was to leave one alive, but wounded Wood Elf Soldiers: 9, 10, 10, 12, 12, 11, 4, 4, 4, 7, 10, 5 = 98 damage   Sun Elf Scout (1) - 15 HP, executed by the archers with 4 damage and the rest by Sharpjaw Sun Elf Warrior (4) - 30 HP for 4, 7 HP for one, 94 damage done to all and leaves one barely alive Sun Elf Leader (1) - 21 HP, 9 piercing damage, blinded, prone, executed   Wood Elf Archers (2) - 1d8+2 piercing Wood Elf Maul - 2d6 bludgeoning Wood Elf Glaive - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Greatsword - 2d6 slashing Wood Elf Greataxe - 1d12 slashing Wood Elf Halberd - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Warhammer - 1d8 bludgeoning Wood Elf Scimitar - 1d6 slashing Wood Elf Longsword - 1d8/1d10 slashing Wood Elf Shortsword & Dagger - 1d6 & 1d4 piercing Wood Elf Shield & Axe - 1d6 slashing & +2 to AC   Silence dropped, Sharpjaw orders men to stand down and tells the sole survivor that he can only surrender. Combat ends for now, but during dialogue he executes the Sun Elf with Lamarva. Senses weakness in one of his men. Sharpjaw scares one of his men off after grossing him out with war crimes (scalps a Legolas-looking, casts Hunter's Mark, then Longbows the soldier for 6 damage in the neck, then Longbows again in the direct center of the right asscheek for 10 piercing damage. Lamarva (super Alpha male) runs towards him, so the soldier hears the snarls getting closer in the thick of the woods. Soldier accepts his own defection, but also stands to fight with accepting his death Attacks with a double longbow shot, does 16 damage to the eyes (12 arrows left, recovers 4 out of 8, 16 total)   Colonel Sharpjaw, his war drake, and 11 Wood Elf Soldiers (2 Archers, 5 Heavys, 4 Mediums) remaining  

War Crimes Committed

1. Slaughtering Sun Elves on Wood Elf territory, instead of arresting them 2. Executed a subordinate Wood Elf Medium after egging on his fears and doubts  

Part 2

  Reasserts dominance over his men and marches out to Sun Elf territory, to do "the best work for the good of his country" Makes camp at a viewpoint after spotting a small village 2 miles away. Sends an Archer, Halberd wielder, & Shortsword elf with nine squirrels to go hunting. The lead squirrel hops on Sharpjaw's back while he and other Archer stand watch with bows drawn Couple hours later, men come back with a Grakean Horned Bear for dinner. Sharpjaw relieves the hunters with his other men and rewards the three with Emperor's Badge of Honor for their noble service Has some men gut and prepare the meat while two skin the pelt and horns, makes the War Crown with the horns & elf scalp, and a Grakean War Pelt. Inspires them to eat, while Sharpjaw saves his appetite for the flesh of Sun Elves Stealths into the village with his archers and scouted out the area: Marketplace with produce stall, rusty weapons stall, and a miner's equipment stand. Also sees a psychic-type hut Returns to his men and tells them the plan: summon animals in the village as a distraction, while they take out the guards. Then they swarm into the village to slaughter the rest, taking valuables as they find them.  

The Slaughter

Sharpjaw casts Silence on guard tower and Summon Beast to create a Graekian Hornbear spirit and his drake. Comes with two big boys, a scared soldier (Longsword) and Lamarva to the guart tower, while the rest head towards the market. Commands Hornbear to roar and make noise, Drake stays by your side. Orders big boys to slaughter the guards while Sharpjaw, Lamarva & Weak Link (Shortsword) head towards the town hall, banging on doors and making noises. Bust into town hall and commit the murders of a little boy/child soldier, his mother, a little girl, and her mother. Soldiers kill many others in wonderful genocide Sharpjaw finds the Town Shaman and kills him, claims a torn up book (Burn Book, spells) & a Golden Glaive. Claims its power and discards his useless spear & dagger. Rounds up the villagers and kills the rest with his glaive, noticing that it seems to try drawing in energy from the sky with every swing Orders his troops to search the village for valuables (scrapes up 400 gp). Sharpjaw searches the psychic's tent and finds a crystal ball and 4 orange glowing pebble-sized crystals. Views the crystal ball and sees 5 hooded figures approaching from far outside the village (30 minutes or so) Orders the village burned down, musters a search for more weapons: finds a Longsword (upgrades shortsword guy), Halberd (upgrades shield & axe guy), and Greatsword (Sharpjaw) Ends with Sharpjaw walking from the flames in his War Crown, Graekian Warpelt and the Golden Glaive.

Part 3

  As they walk through the valley in the shadow of deaths, Sharpjaw and the men wander through the woods while the     Sharpjaw - 21 Monsters (4 Warian Monks 1 Battlemage) - 8, 10/80 HP for Battlemage, 40 HP per monk (120/160 total) The Men - 1, 40/100 HP   The men  Wood Elf Archers (2) - 1d8+2 piercing Wood Elf Maul - 2d6 bludgeoning Wood Elf Glaive - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Greatsword - 2d6 slashing Wood Elf Greataxe - 1d12 slashing Wood Elf Halberd - 1d10 slashing Wood Elf Warhammer - 1d8 bludgeoning Wood Elf Longsword - 1d8/1d10 slashing Wood Elf Longsword 2- 1d8/1d10 slashing Wood Elf Halberd - 1d10 slashing   Round 1 Sharpaw - Hunter's Marks the Warian Battlemage, climbs the tree and slashes at the Battlemage with the Golden Glaive, misses both. Lamarva jumps up and bites the Battlemage for 6 piercing Battlemage - Vine Snap , misses both. Sharpjaw fucksup his landing and takes 2 bludgeoning damage, then drives his spear into Sharpjaw's leg, taking 11 damage. Men - Archer shoots arrow at Warian, taking 23 damage. The Men roll an above 10 roll against Warians,   Round 2   Sharpjaw - Slashes the stunned Warian with 10 damage, then misses the next one as the Warian regains mental balance. Lamarva leaps from the trees and bites, but does not get the surprise on his opponent due to Warian senses. However, Lamarva connects for 6 piercing damage. Battlemage - Thunderwave. Sharpjaw calls in the Greataxe and both Halberds, his Ranger keeps guard. Battlemage shoots the ranger for 10 piercing damage The Men - Ranger shoots back for 6 damage, 4 first, 9 second, 5 third guy. The other soldiers failed their battle roll.   Round 3   Sharpjaw - misses first glaive, second hits for 13 slashing damage, then backs up 30 ft. Lamarva bites and feasts on Elven flesh, consumes 4 piercing damage Battlemage - Flaming Sphere against the men, Greataxe guy jumps away while the Halberd guys get roasted, take 9 (Halberd) and 4 (Greataxe), totaling 22 damage. Then tosses the Flaming Sphere at Sharpjaw, but he matrixes the fuck out of it and dodges. Shoots the Ranger for 7 damage. The Men - All hit, 6 8 & 13, they kill the Battlemage in style. The other men fail their second battle roll.    Round 4   Sharpjaw - Hunter's Mark the Warian Monk that is injured (20 HP), then shoots her dead. Shoots another arrow for 17 damage at the other monk, while attaching Hunter's Mark. Lamarva misses her bite, but they leave the monk to 23 HP. Warian Monk -  Entangle to consume 3 men, do 3 to each of the rest (21 HP total). The Men - All 7 of them tackle the monk for 15 damage (8 HP left)   Round 5   Sharpjaw - Shoots the Warian in the vagina, ending her as they pull her uterus out. End combat.       Survivors: Halberd (2), Ranger (1), Greataxe, Longsword, Warhammer (40 HP left), assembled in front of Colonel Sharpjaw. Sharpjaw Hunts his Mark and slashes with Golden Glaive. Does 25 slashing damage and executes the traitor with a clean decapitation. Six soldiers remain, Sharpjaw searches for 10 g and chops his penis & balls off. Crafts them into a penis necklace and testicle earings while Lamarva eats and mutilates the body.   The men complete the search and find arrows for Colonel Sharpjaw. Orders the men to march off to their settlement South. They will Long Rest along the way.
