Priest

A west Calophesian religious rank, directly below a High Priest/Archpriest. Above an acolyte by virtue of having completed the ritual demonstrating their ability to commune with the divine. The name and form of this ritual differs depending on the deity.
Considered to be of equal rank to paladins who have sworn their oaths and clerics .
A priest is distinct from a cleric and a paladin as they are seen as acting as intermediaries between ordinary people and the divine.
The specific title given to a person of this rank can also depend on the denomination they belong to, although they are all commonly referred to as 'priests' or by the honorific 'exarch'.
