Archpriest

A west Calophesian religious rank, directly below an Ecclesian.
An Archpriest is equivalent in rank to a High Priest (the head of a temple) and a Grand Master (the head of a clerical order). If the basilica that the archpriest oversees contains a number of shrines, each dedicated to an aspect of their patron deity, they will be chosen from amongst the priests of these shrines. If it does not however, the Archpriest will be aided by a number of acolytes and one priest, who assumes the mantle of their predecessor upon the Archpriest's death.
The specific title given to a person of this rank can also depend on the denomination they belong to, although they are all commonly referred to as 'Archpriest'.
