Warden

We are not merely druids, we are what the forest remembers, and nourishes. We are it's voice, its wrath, its embrace, its healers. We are its protectors,
— Eikoner Archdruid of Wooshu

The warden is a Druid class that relies heavily on the strength of the forest, and old growth. They are seen as healers of wounds and menders of souls. These druids are attuned to Gaia's forests and old growth forests. They endear Wooshu as their patron god.

They can call upon the ancient spirits of the forests, and the forest itself to bring wrath and compassion to anyone who crosses them. Able to command the forest's will, they can be lifesavers, or bring doom upon those who wish ill intent.

Origin

Druids came to be when Wooshu awoke from his death. Wooshu is the original and first Warden of Gaia, in which the devout of nature have studied and followed in his will to protect and heal. The class was not created, but grew. Wooshu saught peace before his death and thus peace is a prime tenant of this practice. Peace and Mercy, in the name of Renewal and Growth.

Many heard the calling, to protect the woodlands from destruction and those who seek to disrespect that which remembers. To take this oath of protection, dedicates your life to protect and honor the sacred fauna of Gaia.

Memory is the second tenant of this practice. Forests remember prehistory, how many rose and fell. Ruins, not of the Combine, are also areas in which these Wardens protect and guard.

He did not raise his claws. He planted them. Where he wept, roots grew. Where he fell, the world caught him in green.
— Rootstone Verses, The Cathedral of Memories

Conclaves and Hermits

Wardens can come into two categories, they can live in comunities of other Druids, Druid circles and guilds, commonly referenced as "Conclaves". However not all wardens are part of groups. Single Druids, known as Archdruids live in solitude, and make pilgrimages to The Great Feywood to the Cathedral of Memories, to commune with Wooshu.

Conclaves aim to establish themselves as protectors of a forest or fauna wonder. As Archdruids are reclusive and devout to Wooshu's cause.

We travel to his sanctum, to speak and connect. His sorrow needs alleviating, but it is understood that it must remain.
— Eikoner Archdruid of Wooshu

The Cathedral of Memories

The Cathedral of Memories goes by two names, the other being called The Cradel of Returning. This is the sacred holy site within the Greater Feywood that Wooshu has his sanctum, where he weeps, where he sleeps, and where he hides.

The Cathedral itself dates older than the Combine Empire and is a petrified cathedral-like building that has been adsorbed by a Great Aldaar tree., before it, remains the aged trunk of a larger tree that has since been destroyed, leaving a cradle-like stump full of Ethereal flowers.

This is the ultimate holy site for Warden pilgrims to make a journey to once in their lives.
