Mer are the third most populous group of intelligent life on Gaia. these are human-like with elven to mystical like attributes. These people are often longer lived than Humans, and some beastfolk. The definition of a Mer can also be seen as something that is unhuman or fantastical and does not fit into the human family. Its worth to note, these races can breed with Humans without assistance.   These races are ancient, along side the Dragons they are one of the most old, however they do not breed as much as the others, and often live in secluded territories or regions.

Dwarves are considered Mer for their abnormally long lives. They are usually short, stocky and built small humanoids that live within the mountains or Underfoot. They have been around for as long as Elves have been. The term of a Dwarf can refer to any race that isn't quite human, yet fit the definition of something small, short and ancient.
