Acolyte
A junior position in Vesper's Church of Perpetual Motion. Acolytes are typically children and teenagers, usually performing simple labor and basic research, and occasionally participate in minor ceremonies.
A rare few acolytes retain their title into their twenties. This is a somewhat contentious position, as most such people are viewed as slackers and perpetual failures, but many of the most ambitious and ultimately successful churchfolk retain their Acolyte status into their twenties, continuing in-depth research without the rigors and responsibilities of Scholar status.
