Talasar
Talasar (tæl-ə-sær) is a tiered city of interconnected rectangular buildings and stairwells with red-tiled roofs. Wide but steep streets climb from the pier over the beach to the east and west mountain passes that lead inland. A massive market crowds between the pier and the lower city walls, bright tents covering offerings of fresh fish, fine cloth, grains, fresh and dried spices, woven baskets, and strings of shells and pearls.
