Spectre

Spectre (Also known as Estrange), is a continent in the far northwest of Frantumare. The most notable feature of the continent is its deep purple color of the land. Some believed it was due to excessive poisoning of the land due to farming, others claimed that the first shipment of Eldsneyti were destroyed the moment it reached Spectre and polluted the waters. This caused the change of colors when the water washed over the land, however, it did not explain the changes of behavior among the people.

Geography

It is unknown why the land appears to be in darker shade of purple. Some speculated to be a failed shipment of Eldsneyti that shattered on the land and poisoned it. Others claimed that Spectre itself is cursed, hence the name. The land is rather flat, and have suitable soil for farming, but no one dared to step out of their homes for it.

Localized Phenomena

The most odd thing to happen on Spectre is the fact that the people are extremely estranged from one another, which also earns the continent the second name, Estrange. They avoid one another, rarely strike up conversation and refused to make eye contact with each other. It is as if they are pretending that no one but themselves exist. This also happens to foreigners or pilgrims that steps foot on the land. No one bats an eye nor bother pointing directions. Although accommodation is still possible to procure on Spectre, they will be given silent treatment regardless of how many riels are thrown to them. A smile is extremely rare to be seen on their faces, not even children dared to play in the streets or yards. The most bizarre thing to occur on Spectre is the disappearance of adventurers or pilgrims. There wouldn't be any trace of them ever entered, and the silence from the people does not help with investigation. However, when groups of people were sent to Spectre, each of them returned safely, but then the group would keep silent of the operation and neither refused to state the truth on their reports.
