Elder Cycle

The 50 year half of the elder moon cycle is the period of time where a single bright star is seen clearing its way through the length of the wall.
It is the most distant of cosmic bodies, and yet holds a dramatic sway over our environment. During its cyclic 50 year reign in the heavens, tsunamis would storm over the area and surely kill anyone within the vicinity; with no time to escape.

The ocean water pulled back thousands of feet. Residences from the beach who witnessed this recall seeing a long, straight row of large rocks emerge from the water.
As the tsunami rushed to shore, these stones were covered again by water. However, centuries' worth of sediment were gone. It also made some immediate, lasting changes to the coastline, which left a few previously covered small structures uncovered on the shore.

Special Properties

The Well

The well is a rumoured surface of glowing ripples, buried somewhere in a silt covered chamber, that is capable of transporting persons elsewhere.

Architecture

The temple is a five-storeyed structure with two pyramidal roofs made of cut stone. An outer enclosure of thick stone shields the rest from the multiple batterings of the waves - its seaward side is lower than its landward side from those same years of erosion.
