High Priestess (a.k.a. Shadowheart)
Jenevelle Hallowleaf lived a happy life with her parents Arnell Hallowleaf, an elf werewolf, and Emmeline, a human. Both were devoted followers of Selûne. As a child of Selûnites, Jenevelle underwent a rite of passage involving finding her way home alone from the woods. But all was not well, a Sharran group led by Mother Superior Viconia DeVir (the lover of Rhyddock Wallace) interrupted Jenevelle's trial. Shadowheart's father learned of the Sharrans' plan from a spy caught near their village and chased after her in wold form. He found Jenevelle at the same time as the Sharrans. The Sharran's shot him full of arrows. Jenevelle was captured and raised by Viconia in Baldur's Gate as a cleric of Shar herself, named Shadowheart. Her parents were also captured as hostages in the same Sharran church. The Sharrans twisted Shadowheart's memories of the event, enhancing her fear of wolves and erasing the truth of her father's attempted rescue.
In Eleasis of The Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, Shadowheart was among a group of Sharrans sent on a mission to obtain a mysterious artifact and tasked with returning it to Baldur's Gate. The group was led by Caldan Darkwood in charge of Buddug Vriss, Kurk Deepcroft, Dreena Covely, and Shadowheart serving as the healer. Prior to leaving, she agreed to have her memories erased from her mind. She was promised they would be restored to her upon successful completion of her mission.
The half-elf was soon captured by mind flayers and taken aboard a nautiloid. There an illithid tadpole was inserted in hereye. She was freed by a man that fell in love with her at first sight, Thorduin Lionheart. After the nautiloid crash landed after an aerial battle with githyanki and their red dragon mounts, Shadowheart found herself in the Western Heartlands, awakened with new powers. The two companions decided the best course of action was to seek out a healer. Refer to Act I: In Search of the Cure for the rest of the story. Shadowheart struggled with her faith of Shar through the journey. Her final decision was made with the help of her lover Thorduin when they confronted the Nightsong. The NIghtsong confronted her with truth about her parents, and she turned from Shar then, pulled back to Selune.
