General Summary
Pern and Ovak decided to search Villa Gregario for Arfur Gregario. Ovak was unable to afford the 40 gp asking price for a fine set of thieves' tools at Pemberton's Pawn, so the duo decided to recon the home for an open entrance. Both a direct approach and a more discrete attempt failed to get a reaction out of whoever in the home had lit a faint fire. However, a tough who had been watching the door at Pemberton's Pawn came down the road and confronted Pern where he waited. The scene was cut short by Pern's command to flee. When the thug didn't return, Pern and Ovak crossed town to find the Ten Steps Inn.
The quality and hospitality of the innkeeper, Lishel, and the dwarven cook made up for the disappointing day. After a fine meal, the duo made the acquaintance of a dragonborn fighter called Ghesh. The axe-bearing mercenary mentioned the hobgoblins they met earlier passed through Rivington on their way to Wyrm's Rock. He also mentioned the Rivington Rats, a gang that smuggles goods across the river.
The day ended in warms beds and relative safety.
