Village in the Savage Frontier in northwest Faerun.   It's located east of the Dawn Pass of Graypeak Mountains and west of the Anauroch desert, just outside the Weathercote Forest.   The Black Road travels west across the Anauroch desert to meet the Dawn Pass Trail in Parnast.

Demographics

Regular villagers: about 70 humans, a dwarven family, and two halfling families.   Due to orc raids population now includes refugee farmers and their families escaping the orc raids, pushing it to over 100 individuals.

Defences

A militia. Everyone within the town who is able to lift a spear must, in a time of need, stand in defense of the village. No real chain of command, though Raggnar Redtooth has some experience and tries to train everyone with the basics of fighting. (10 guards and 15 commoners)

History

When the Dragon Cult rose up around 1489 DR the town was occupied and the crater to the south west of town was where a flying fortress for the Cult.

Geography

Ruins of Old Parnast are to the north of town.

The Black Road
A trade route that goes from the Dagger Falls across the Anauroch Desert to meet up with the Dawn Pass Trail in the village of Parnast. Frequently used by smugglers and the Zhents to ferry goods into the Sword Coast and Waterdeep.
