Stirring a Revolution

As the group had finished negotiating with Cervatien, Wrench was curious about where some of these automatons were. With patience and focus, Cervatien pointed them to where their presence was the most obvious. The party followed the direction and found where the Enclave tries its utmost to hold the clockworks back.

The party managed to wrestle a massive lumbering clockwork and a littler unit, allowing Wrench to render the two under his command instead. Afterward, the party split to do their parts in undermining Lumencroft. The famous Thomter Twins lended their aid in undermining the city as well to help meddle in the Utopia's communications.

Roden Dystopia Utopia Experiment

Cassius and Daniel infiltrated the Roden Utopia Experiment facility and managed to stealth their way through and reach the power center. By defeating the massive Constable Dennis, the two managed to shut down the power, letting the roden run free out of the facility.

Power Station

Gloria and Wrench had an easier time in dealing with the Power Station. Thanks to the distractions coming from the Juniper Enclave pushing into the city, this allowed Wrench to plant explosives on his captured clockworks and send them in with little hassle to destroy the facility. Naturally, he had to coax some of the wildlife to get away from the potential blast radius.

Reaching the Mayor

The party managed to reach the Mayor's estate with little hassle and in eerily quiet streets. There in his office, they found a hideous man sitting in a chair and on a respirator. Mayor Clarence Bertram. The bittered Mayor gave one last warning to the party.

“I have stood knee deep in mud and bone and had infernal wounds burn my flesh alive. I have seen countless bodies fall to gunfire. I have slain in holy wars and torched entire blocks of cities. I have dug trenches for the refugees; I have murdered dissidents where the sands are king and starved the masses into faith. A child's shadow burnt into the brickwork. A city poisoned, never to be claimed!”   “The innocent, the innocent people, trod and bled and gassed and starved and beaten and murdered and enslaved. This is our magnum opus! We have automated industry, why not our own warfare?! And when the fighting breaks out, we will hurl ourselves into extinction without a second thought! Why not give the people what they want?!”   Mayor Bertram then shuffles over to the balcony. With outstretched arms, he lets himself fall off and into the mercy of the savage crowd waiting hungrily below as he is then ripped asunder.

As the party made their way home, the Mournival was there to wave them farewell. As a reward for their triumph, Cassius was given a ticket to an upcoming ball at Fortitude Hall.

The party then leaves Lumencroft...

The road seems to begin mirroring itself as you walk in the mist. Once the mists drop, the first thing you feel are the softest raindrops dripping down from the sky. Ahead is undoubtedly the real Lumencroft, which is little more than hollow buildings and vegetation that has begun to grow around it.

The party then finally returned home, relieved to be away from the strange domains within the Fell.

A Mishap with the Rattler

Once home, the party uncovered something terrible in the basement:

Heading into the basement, you find that the tank containing the rattler has been damaged more so due to lack of maintenance than anything intentional. Regardless, what one sees are strange airy-blue words and an intangible sigil hovering in the room. The rattler repeats aimlessly the lines:

That which is hollow can eternal lie, for after strange aeons, they cannot die!

Through their moldings they were made and their rejection had the makers betrayed.

Their prison of flesh was rendered broken and within them writhed and wriggled, for they had awoken.

The one bound in yellow wrappings shall bring an age overlapping!

Bountiful are worlds to be known but they cannot be shown while he is alone!

— The Rattler

The rattler's tank seemed to have broken slightly from simple neglect than anything major or difficult to repair. Both Daniel and Wrench uncover that this sigil is the same one of the Averse but with wings added to it. The two of them are keen to investigate what is afoot.
