Qualifications
Graduation from the Civarion Academy is the minimum requirement. It is a rigorous school meant for preparing students for the responsibilities and duties of working within the important parts of the Kingdom, whether as courtiers or military officers.
Requirements
Monarchs must be born within the Province of Cassius, namely to avoid the bias of other dukes.
Appointment
Should all five dukes agree on a candidate, they are appointed as monarch. Until that decision is made, a family member or peer of the previous monarch is appointed as regent. Should all dukes prefer the regent instead, the regent is instead officially appointed as monarch.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The monarch can freely step down at any time. Should the dukes, however, believe the current one is unfit for their role, all five must agree in a vote. A small set of elite guards from each province is then to escort the monarch from their role as a regent is put in place until a new monarch is appointed.
