One of the darkest days of Draconian history is when the Arkonian Order marched on its shores. Mother Maratha was a trickster and exploited Gortruse's brethren into being trapped by her. The only regret was that he left them behind but it would eventually become a blessing, actually.

When the Battle of Vrexen raged, Gortruse regained his composure and freed his brethren from their undead captors. They would then ride off and catch Arkengrath by surprise. Their combined breaths of flame, sparks, cold, acid, and poison mixed with the other members of the Coalition would finish off the abominable evil.
