Florenelle’s Creation
Kordgelle is not going to like this one bit! After fighting off illithids and other horrendous creatures, it has finally been found. I have plundered his relics deep in Nyarlin’huth Tower and now his origins are revealed. Before this research becomes thrown away by the Kithalsis, here are the notes and summaries I have found.
In the beginning, there was only the astral plane and roughly over a dozen beings known as Creators (so we can finally end that Kordgelle is the only “creator” line of his). These Creators that materialized in the silvery purple realm were still infants at the time. At first, they created things with great amount of caution until their confidence built up enough to create entire realms, especially the ones we live in today.
As it would turn out, Florenelle was their combined efforts on creating a hub of a world using the powers from other realms. The wind, water, fire, and earth that we stand on? That was all gathered from those elemental planes. Those four worlds are effectively every realm’s “parent” as a way to put it. In the astral plane itself, space had to be prepared to create these worlds in the first place. Many of these worlds were just reserved as private dwellings for their creators as privacy from the others. Of course, all of this world building would impact the physical manifestation of the creators and their specialties.
Kordgelle, in particular, kept his realm of Kithalfithus within the astral plane itself instead of renovating a pocket of space for it to exist within. He believed that the astral plane was home enough and he kept it that way ever since. Many of his peers believed him to be distant and mysterious, always watching more instead of creating.
As for what happens next, life is what happens. The creators bring on their next big experiment: life. They planted all sorts of life forms across their worlds and watched them flourish or struggle. The creators especially designed the more sentient beings to be more of a following yet still be creatures of independent action. However, the contrary wishes would bring consequences they were not ready for. As soon as the first creature decided they didn’t like their creator, or at least prefer a different creator, that was the spark for an all out outrage.
Some creators blamed their peers for such treachery from their creations. Other times, they would attempt to wipe out what creations left them. In turn, this would provoke some of their peers, as they are fine with creations worshiping other creators. Such a statement wouldn’t bode well with some. Thus, this jealousy brought on the Genesis War. A great cosmic tragedy fought over who worshipped who. Eventually, the creations caught on to their makers pulling all of these strings and turned on all other creators out of spite.
What the creations would discover all too often is what happens when you “kill” a creator. Upon their demise, and with such intensity vying for vengeance and despair, that creative force eventually manifests itself horrifically. After some time from being defeated, an abomination of a creature bursts from within the creator like some sort of cocoon. Many creations died off as a consequence, but without Kordgelle’s unexpected help, an era of gatherers may as well have occurred.
See, Kordgelle then wrangles all of these abominations and shoves into a place known as the “Entropic Void” where it is sequestered within his land of Kithalfithus. Ever since then, Kordgelle has stayed in the background of our worlds as what remains of the creations lived on even to this day. It is we who are descended from the first creations. The very reason we can cast spells is because we have the power of creators within us!
No wonder the One in Yellow Wraps has stayed quiet about this. I think he fears that if word got out, we might turn on him or something like that.
