Esterson Hall Act 1: Cobwebs of Esterson Hall Plot in Florenic Worlds | World Anvil

Esterson Hall Act 1: Cobwebs of Esterson Hall

Level 3-4 Adventures for Esterson Hall

Overview

Summary

This arc is about a new band of adventurers taking over Esterson Hall from a previous group. It focuses on the party trying to make a name for themselves and grow an understanding of the Hall's operations.

At this stage, adventures focus around the Kingdom of Ardentry. These may be thwarting the Darkway Thieves, helping nobility with nuisances, or other cookie-cutter type of adventures. Of course, patrons providing these tasks aren't always honest about their intentions. Any encounters with vicians are to be taken very seriously.

Lady Farlon, an art collector, has taken an interest in what potential our newly established guild has to offer. She wants you to track down a bunch of lowlifes in their hideout and retrieve some sort of idol of Ornsen. We have found their putrid dwelling along the Glimmer Coast in Dulnmoor. After a quick visit and all has been resolved, come back home and we can send it off to the courier.

I should also mention that this courier was insistent we get this job done as soon as possible. Supposedly others are looking to claim this artifact as well. I personally don't care about the ethics of where this idol belongs. This art collector should know by now that it belongs to the highest bidder.

    Standard Adventures to Choose

    Abandonment in the Astral Clocktower

The price of knowledge is a strong temptation for the followers of Renaki. With our latest request, it may as well be easier to have sacrificed their peer just for a mundane textbook and save us all the trouble. Because these idiots went into the Astral Clocktower, a Precursor ruin with unpredictable effects, they now come to seek our aid.

You are requested to go in and find their friend, or at least, what remains of them. Before we have the same predicament on our hands, please, do not touch ancient mechanisms you do not know! The Precursors were brilliant geniuses back in the day but their genius work has now eroded. So do be careful. And also get a souvenir while you're at it.

    Rampant Bulette in Orotoro

There's a strange irony that a creature of the land threatens our avian fellows in the sky. The village of Orotoro is being harassed by a bulette tearing up farmland with its constant burrowing. Attempts to drive it off has only been met with playful behavior or violent backlash. To the avians' surprise, that thing can leap.

So, it's up to us to get things done. They have requested that we remove the bulette by whatever means it takes. All that matters is that does not come back. As usual, Welma and I trust your judgement to see things through, whether the beast gets slain or driven off.

  • Hungrists in Bakersloft

The fields of Bakersloft are beautiful sights. The only problem is that stubborn dwarves are not guarding their farmers! As a result, hungrists have begun to prey on the farmers tending to the fields. Their work is hindered by their harassments and their precious vineyards and cheeses are being halted!

Know that hungrists like to prey on those who are solitary. So standing in a group will deter them from appearing but being alone will risk your wellbeing! Most importantly, if you fail, who else would we hire to get food flowing again? Namely in our hands?

    Kidnapping in Alsarelle

  • Adventure Link: Kidnapping in Alsarelle

  • When news about our Esterson Hall's revival came to light within Hearth, a cobbler burst through our doors. Poor sod clutched at my legs begging for our aid. Once Welma calmed his nerves through a few mugs, he was mostly coherent.

From what we understand, his daughter was kidnapped by wood elves in broad daylight. He is uncertain what motive they could have considering she has visited those woodlands countless times before without hassle. So it's up to you folks to head out to Haliah and see why these Temporal elves have a change of heart.
